Ekstremvær med mye nedbør blir stadig mer vanlig og truer byer og samfunn. Et nytt forskningsprosjekt i Sverige og Norge skal identifisere de mest økonomisk og miljømessig bærekraftige tiltakene for klimasikre boliger. Prosjektet ledes av CICERO, Center for International Climate Research, i samarbeid med IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute og If Insurance. 

The EU-project MYRIAD-EU aims to enable decision-makers to develop forward-looking disaster risk management pathways that takes into account trade-offs and synergies across sectors, hazards and scales.

This project will help enhance the knowledge base for and support the development of a strategy for BC/OC co-control in China.

EmCliC is a three-year research project that brings together social anthropology, sociology, climate science, epidemiology, atmospheric physics and novel technology, to understand and demonstrate how people experience climate change on a daily basis.

Lack of access to clean cooking technology is the single largest environmental risk factor for disease and disability in countries relying on traditional biomass fuels for household energy due to household air pollution.

HEATCOST will quantify health risks attributable to heat and air pollution (with a particular focus on air pollution from wildfires) in main world regions under selected climate scenarios and socioeconomic pathways.

The LAMACLIMA project aims to advance the understanding of the coupled effects between land cover and land management, climate and the economy, informing sustainable land-based adaptation and mitigation.

Weather and climate extremes are likely to be one of the largest societal challenges associated with climate change in this century. Under climate change, these extreme events will intensify and become more frequent, and consequently the risk of severe and costly damage for humans and infrastructure will increase.

Future food production, and consequently food security, is very sensitive to both climate change and air pollution. So far, little is known about how climate extremes and ozone pollution interact to affect agriculture or about the relative effectiveness of climate change adaptation and ozone regulation measures for various crops and regions.

The core idea of this project is the production of climate information through the co-production of climate services. However, the type of and need for climate information depend very much on the location, sector and livelihood of People.
