Norway -European champion on nature loss!

In 2025 it was documented that Norway is the European champion on land take per capita, based om amongst others research from the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research. In this event, we will look at the specific drivers for land conversion, the characteristics of municipalities with different patterns regarding land use change, the impacts of climate change and temperature regimes on nature - and how this picture matches with Norway’s international political obligations.
