Rachael Byrom is an atmospheric scientist.
Rachael’s research focusses on the radiative forcing of climate by greenhouse gases. She uses radiative transfer models and Earth system models to investigate how changes in atmospheric composition alter the Earth’s energy balance and cause the climate to change over time.
Rachael has an MSc in Applied Meteorology and a PhD in Atmosphere, Oceans and Climate from the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading. Her PhD research quantified methane’s solar radiative forcing.
