PDRMIP Data access

The PDRMIP simulations are done. The bulk of the PDRMIP data are now publicly available from the WDCC data server here.

If you use the publicly available PDRMIP data, please cite the data description paper:

A code used to calculate global averages presented in this paper is available on github. 

The data can also be downloaded from the National Infrastructure for Research Data (NIRD). If you want access, please send an email to Marit Sandstad (marit.sandstad@cicero.oslo.no). We encourage new analysis based on the PDRMIP data and send an email to Bjørn Samset (b.h.samset@cicero.oslo.no), Gunnar Myhre (gunnar.myhre@cicero.oslo.no) or Piers Forster (P.M.Forster@leeds.ac.uk) if you have any questions on the use of the PDRMIP data.

Here's the procedure to get access to the storage facility on the National Infrastructure for Research Data:

Please use this form (if cannot find the data you need through the WDCC data server):

Choose "Another External Organization" for the Organization field, NS9042K from the Project dropdown menu, and "Nird" as the resource. List today as the start date, and 2023-06-30 as the end date.

After the account is created Marit Sandstad (marit.sandstad@cicero.oslo.no) or  Bjørn Samset (b.h.samset@cicero.oslo.no) needs to approve its access to the project. They'll send you a temporary password by SMS on your mobile telephone, then you can log in to login.nird.sigma2.no

Note to old users: The norstore storage is no longer in use. If you can not successfully log in to nird with your norstore credentials you can try to reset your password here:

Note to uploading: When uploading data to NIRD, please do so in an appropriately named subfolder to: 

/projects/NS9042K/NORSTORE_OSL_DISK/NS9042K/incoming

If none such exists, you can make a new one. Then please make sure all files folders etc that you put there have the group affiliation ns9042k and that the group has read and write permissions.
