About

Erik is a biostatistician specializing in building transferable climate data pipelines and macroecological research of remote sensing products as well as species interactions.

Using big data and generating new statistical methodology, Erik aims to understand how global and local processes and patterns in systems arise and are reinforced thus generating knowledge about the resilience of the Earth and its humans. To this end, Erik has created and continues to develop an R-package (KrigR) to enable the download of data from ECMWF CDS services, perform spatial limitation, temporal aggregation, and statistically interpolate these products.
