EU legislators are currently preparing regulations that will shape the renewable energy policies in the member states in the coming decade. Yet the renewable energy transition in Europe faces many challenges. Norwegian and German researchers will discuss the way forward at a workshop on 21 June, in Oslo.
The workshop will investigate which factors shape the renewable energy policy mixes at EU-level and in Germany, Norway, the UK and California. Also development in national support schemes, capacity market regulations, coal politics and the EU's emission trading system will be discussed.
Guri Bang, Elin L. Boasson and Merethe D. Leiren of CICERO will present the latest findings of ongoing research, along with other researchers of the University of Oslo, the Free University of Berlin, the Fridtjof Nansen Institute and the Free University of Brussels.
The workshop is organised by CICERO in cooperation with the Norwegian-German Willy Brandt Stiftung, Helmholtz Gemeinschaft and the Free University of Berlin's Forschungszentrum für Umweltpolitik (FFU).
The workshop will take place on 21 June from 9 am to 4 pm at Litteraturhuset in Oslo. Click on the following link to view the full programme.
